New hotel so very clean. Rooms were well thought out
Hoofddorp represents one of those typical Dutch engineering marvels. Created after the draining of a lake and surrounding marshlands, it is today a mix of the traditional Dutch and ultimate modernity. Hoofddorp is located next to Schiphol International Airport and less than 30 minutes by train to Amsterdam city centre.
Founded in the mid-19th century after the draining of the Haarlemmer Lake, the town still maintains old typical houses, an old fort, and the 1856 windmill called ‘De Eersteling’, or ‘The First’. But the town is mostly known today as a tranquil suburb of Amsterdam, as well as an important hub where several companies have built their modern headquarters.
From Hoofddorp Railway Station you can reach the main hall of Schiphol International in less than 10 minutes by train. Links to Leiden, Utrecht and The Hague are also available, as well as numerous bus lines.
Hotels in Hoofddorp can be found in the city and near the railway station, but most of them are actually in the premises of Amsterdam Airport. Booking.com offers a variety of deals in and around the town.

This is our third time in a row staying at this apartment, and there is absolutely nothing to complain about. The owners are incredibly helpful, the cleanliness is impeccable, and the location couldn't be better. It's quiet, offers beautiful views, and you can reach anywhere in just a few minutes. If I could rate it, I would give it a 20 out of 10 because it is just that good!

Hoofddorp is mainly close to the airport and not realy known for its gorgious architecture. So i guess it's a good base for staying close to the airport and a quick connection to Amsterdam and the surrounding area, like Keukenhof for the flowers, or to take a trip to Haarlem. When renting a car everything is close but public transport is also a good way to get around.
Being from the Netherlands for me Hoofddorp is just "close to the airport" and in this case a stay for a national baseball tournament.

We only stayed one night because we were flying home to Canada after 3 1/2 weeks in Europe, but found Hoofddorp a charming town, and would love to have stayed longer.
There are lots of forested walking paths, a community farm with animals, many shops and restaurants.

We used Hoofddorp as a base for our Amsterdam and Rotterdam visit as it's not far from Schiphol and public transportation. We walked to the Hoofddorp shopping mall once from our hotel to get some food and buy some essentials. The mall is huge with plenty of places to eat and drink, but Hoofddorp definitely isn't a must-go.

Hoofddorp appears to be where a lot of the main hotels for Schiphol Airport are situated. Arriving there late at night, and coming only because I needed to stay somewhere after flight cancellations, I didn't have a chance to assess the place much, except that it's full of hotels and very busy (traffic noises right through the night). But it's convenient for the airport, although I wouldn't want to drive the route myself. If you're stuck at Schiphol (as I was), look for a Hoofddorp hotel with a shuttle service on offer, book it, then go out through the main airport entrance, walk through the buses and look for stand A9-13. That's where the shuttles come to, and most of them post their (frequent) pick-up times on the bus shelter.

The travellers need to decide whether to stay away from the main city as it is quite costly to travel to Amsterdam city centre. There was no facility available to book tickets for a week at the Railway Station. One has to buy a return ticket every day at the kiosk to travel to the city.
I had to stay at this hotel because i have missed my connection flight. It is very close to the Schiphol airport, 2 or 3 km, and they also provide you a shuttle bus that circulates all day from the hotel to the airport and all the way around. It is not a kind of the hotel to stay for the tourist visit purpose but if you end up missing your connection flight it is very good choice. the price is also more affordable than in some other hotels at Schiphol.
I always stay at the NH when we have a few days between our traveling schedules in Amsterdam. The rooms are spacious, the price is good, the breakfast is very good and most of all i enjoy the infrared sauna and the jacuzzi. When traveling for work it really helps to be able to relax your body. The hours of the spa are till late, which is really accommodating to guests. The shuttle service from and to the airport is also great and always on time.
The Staff are so friendly and accommodating. The area is literally just a few steps away from the Train Station Hoofddorp. There are always a parking space so it is not a problem as well. The Hallway and the room smells nice and comfortable. It is almost near to every tourist destination when you travel by car. Zaanse Schans, Amsterdam, The Hague, Castel de Haar, Keukenhof are just a few Minutes drive.
Nice clean hotel. Comfortable bed. Excellent location very near bus stop (2 mins walk) and train station (20 mins walk or €1-€2 on bus) with connections to Amsterdam, The Hague and Haarlem.
Small kitchen was good providing 2 rings, fridge, microwave, cutlery and dishes.. Supermarket 10 mins walk away.
Quiet location and quiet hotel.
Our stay at NH Amsterdam Schiphol was very convenient since we had a flight early in the morning. The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle that facilitates the transport to/from the airport. The hotel is comfortable and what is very important - the stay is not disturbed by the close airport.
Comfortable and clean rooms, good breakfast and very helpful & friendly staff. When I asked to change rooms because my room was close to the construction site next door, it was no trouble and they helped me straight away. Would definitely recommend for a stay close to Amsterdam and Schiphol.
near bus stop & airport, room is quite small but has everything u’ll need. they provide induction stove, sink, microwave, utensils, nespresso, that other city hotels dont have. Breakfast is good too. will be back again for sure if i have the chance to Amsterdam next time.
Stayed over with gf to be close to festival. Hotel is located 3-4 min walk from Hoofddorp station. The area, like Hoofddorp, is dreadfull. But ideal to be close to the station and Schiphol. The hotel looked all very fresh and new. The room was clean and the bed comfy.
Affordable stay for a night close to Schiphol.
From the hotel there are multiple busses that take 10 min to get to schiphol. Otherwise, you could get a taxi. The busses stop within 5 min walk from the hotel.
Checkin was straightforward and staff were helpful.
Cleanliness is very well maintained. Friendly staff and they provided good guidance. Also, they provided vehicle from hotel to Schiphol airport every half an hour. This is very well utilized by most of the people who stay at hotel.
Nice and quiet despite location to the Airport. Regular trains and buses short distance from Hotel. Hotel is clean and service great. To get this standard of room in Amsterdam Central would cost £150 - 200 a night so great value.
Great comfortable and clean hotel in perfect location.
You can combine visiting Amsterdam from the next train station by train and as an exit point near main roads to visit the rest of Holland by car.
Location close to Schiphol. Still affordable. Inside the hotel it was friendly and cozy. Good breakfast, clean with a good selection. We had a car and Haarlem and the beach are close.
Great place to stay if one wants to visit Keukenhof, amsterdam or Schiphol. Value for money, clean, amazing and helpful hosts. No complaints, wish we could stay for longer.
The studio had everything one needs and the decoration of the unit was very good. There was also free parking in front of the unit and close to Amsterdam airport
